Covid-19 confirmed for Year-7 pupil at High School

Year-7 pupils at Welshpool High School have been asked not to attend tomorrow (Monday) after a pupil tested positive for the Coronavirus.

The school will also be closed to students who travel on the Forden bus (WP226) which is run by Cookson Travel.

In a tweet, the school said: "Please be aware that we have been notified of a positive COVID test from a pupil in school.

"To ensure the safety of all, school will initially be closed tomorrow (Mon 16th Nov 2020) to pupils in Year-7 and any pupil travelling on the Cookson's WP226 (Forden) bus.

"We will provide further updates in due course. Thank you for your support."

Cookson Travel sent the following message via Facebook: “Hendomen WP226 to Welshpool High School will not be running tomorrow AM or PM. We will update on Tuesday when we receive further information.”
