Eight months into the Covid-19 crisis and parents and carers are being ordered to wear masks when dropping off and picking up their children.
The rule was suddenly rushed in yesterday, catching many parents off-guard, but we can confirm that it is a Welsh Government ruling countrywide.
“In Wales, all adults should wear a face covering when dropping off, picking up pupils or visiting school as the the Welsh Government issued updated guidance on Monday,” a spokesperson told us at Powys County Council.
The full guidance can be read here.
Education Minister Kirsty Williams said: “It is vital that young people, parents, adults and the workforce feel confident that all measures are being taken to ensure the educational environments are as safe as possible.”
