Riding for Palestine through Montgomeryshire

19/04/2021 @ 11:18

Members of the Montgomeryshire Palestine Solidarity Campaign have taken part in the Big Ride for Palestine Spring Challenge.

Riding 17 miles from Churchstoke to Newtown, with stop offs en route to raise awareness of a Palestinian cause, the group was welcomed into Montgomery by the Town Crier, Sue Blower (pictured).

The Big Ride for Palestine was initiated in 2015 by activists in Britain, Ireland and beyond who wanted to combine a love of cycling with support of the Palestinian people.

It raises money to support the Middle East Children's Alliance, a charity that specialises in working with children. Altogether the Ride has raised over £220,000 for the charity.
