‘Old School’ reopens after pandemic

One of Guilsfield’s oldest community hubs will turn 200 years old in 2027, and new committee members are being sought to come up with new ideas to take the facility forward.

The Old School will reopen on July 1 following 18 months of Covid-enforced closure, with Trustees hoping that it will return to its place in the heart of the community hosting the village clubs as well as entertainment events like Bingo and coffee mornings.

“Individual invitations will be sent to established organisations who historically supported the facility, and of course we seek new opportunities with organisations that may wish to hire on a one off or regular basis,” said Trustee and Treasurer, John Breese.

“We also invite participation from the younger generation to become committee members, or in fact anyone that has an interest in supporting our excellent village facility.”
