Overnight closure for Brook Street planned for next week

Overnight road closures for Welshpool have been confirmed for next week with motorists facing a long diversion.

Powys County Council has confirmed that Brook Street will be closed from Thursday, July 1 to Saturday, July 3 between the hours of 6pm and 6am with diversions sending East-bound traffic via Arddleen.

The closure is to allow for revisions to road markings on Brook Street, Church Street and High Street to be undertaken by contractors Tarmac.

Works on High Street will be undertaken with the narrowing of the traffic lanes and will not require any closure.
