Town set for sizzling Charity barbecue

Local bands have signed up to play free of charge for the all-day event which will run from 1pm to midnight at Maesydre with entertainment throughout.

Last year nearly £4,000 was raised and with the additional entertainment targeting all ages, organisers are confident that the money will roll in.

“Health and safety have pushed up our costs this year but we are grateful to the many people who have given generously to help us cover those extras,” said Harry Gannon, one of the organisers.

The live music will be accompanied by a DJ as well as plenty of activities to keep the children busy throughout the day.
