Monday Morning Chaos in Town Centre

It was chaos for market day rush hour transport in the centre of Welshpool this morning following a Church Street incident.

Traffic was brought to a virtual standstill following a collision between a lorry and a car directly ouitside the National Milk Bar at 8-30am.

The car was knocked onto the pavement by the force of the impact but luckilly there were no pedestrians passing by at the time of the impact.

No information is yet available on any injuries sustained by the drivers, though there was extensive damage to the driver's door and window.

Dyded Powys Police officers were on the scene.
