Murder suspect named and remanded

Twenty year-old Blaine Kirkham has been formally charged this morning with the murder of Newtown teenager Lewis Clarke who died on Saturday.
Kirkham, from Newtown, appeared before Llandrindod Wells Magistrates Court this morning to face the charge and was remanded in custody to appear before Mold Crown Court on Friday.
Police were called on Saturday morning to a flat in Long Bridge Street, Llanidloes, and Lewis, 19 and also from Newtown, later died after being airlifted to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
