Search is on for young artists and poets

 

Two competitions – a national poetry challenge and colouring-in contest - will be launched at this year’s Royal Welsh Show before being promoted at local shows and events across Wales and by the NFU Let’s Talk Farming roadshow.

 

The poetry competition is open to eight-12 year-olds, while a farm scene colouring-in contest aims to engage four to seven year-olds. Winners of each challenge will receive £100 worth of Britains Farm Toys.

 

NFU Cymru Public Relations Officer, Sarah Jones said, “We know thousands of children are fanatical about life on farms and the countryside so we hope this competition lets them show their creative side.”
