Police call Welshpool residents meeting

 

The Community Meeting has been called by Welshpool’s Neighbourhood Policing Team to review the purge on young boozers which was raised as a growing concern by residents earlier this year.

 

Arrests have been made and a large amount of alcohol seized, the full results will be reported back tonight.

 

“These meetings enable us to identify the issues worrying local residents and to act accordingly,” said a police spokesperson.

 

Tonight’s meeting, starting at 7pm in the Town Hall’s Corn Exchange, will also address current anti-social behaviour in and around the town.
