Search is on for Welshpool royalty

Hot on the heels of the big announcement that the Carnival will return to Welshpool over the Queen’s Jubilee weekend on June 5, the town has started a search for its own royalty.

Applications are now being taken for the carnival king, queen and their attendants who will ride on the Royal Float through the town to the carnival grounds.

The town council is looking for individuals who have done something for the local community, and written entries should be sent to kimberly@welshpooltowncouncil.gov.uk along with the name, age and contact details.
