Montgomery Egg Trail raises hundreds

The Easter Egg Trail held around Montgoemry in April has raised an impressive £330.90 for organisers, Friends of Montgomery School.

The Friends’ fundraising supports the school and its learners in various ways, which currently include helping purchase IT equipment, food technology equipment and forest school resources.

“We’d like to thank individuals and businesses, including the community champions at Tesco Welshpool, Tesco Newtown and Morrisons Newtown, for their kind donations to support this event, and everyone who took part,” a spokesperson said.

The Friends’ efforts were further aided by a coffee morning on May 14 which raised over £200.
