Countdown to charity Funday

05/08/2011 @ 12:05

Final preparations are in full swing for Sunday’s Harry Tuffins annual charity funday held on site in the country park in Churchstoke.

With enquiries from exhibitors and visitors flooding in to attend the traditional family day out, hopes are high to beat last years’ record breaking £37,000 for local charities and good causes.

Local MP for Montgomeryshire Glyn Davies is attending and commented: "Harry Tuffin's Funday is a great day out, whether you are six or sixty. Last year I was so impressed by how much there was to see and do. "

With motorbike displays, helicopter rides, children’s entertainment, vintage cars, steam rally, stalls, along with all new attraction ‘Rally Rides’, there is something for the whole family to enjoy.

Richard Whittall, Tuffins Operations Director said:  “Annually the event raises thousands of pounds for charity. In 2010, £37,000 was distributed to 130 local organisations and charities in the surrounding areas of Harry Tuffins store locations including a donation of £4,000 going towards supporting Hope House.”

Local organisations who would like to apply for a grant from the Funday should write into Val Jackman at the Churchstoke HQ.
