Welshpool author wants your UFO accounts

An unexplained sighting over Meifod several years ago has led to one Welshpool author deciding to find out if the ‘truth really is out there’.

Paul Medland (pictured), from Welshpool who has already penned two books, has started researching a third and wants to hear from local residents who have witnessed UFO’s, seen ghosts or are aware of hidden bases and places that may have been used by the government in Montgomersyhire.

“It is not just UFO's I want to research,” explained Paul: “I want to compile information and write about anything that is unexplained: Ghosts, hidden places, dangers or things that we live beside and are not aware of.

“I saw something unexplainable in Meifod a few years back, and I am aware that there was an actual sighting over the rear of the Flash in the early 2000's by a man called Ken who worked for Powys County Council's property care dept and lived high up on the Borfa Green area.”

Paul has set up a section on his web site which he says has “grown and grown” and if you would like to get in touch, write to Paul at UFO@psm4u.co.uk.

“I am hoping there is enough information and stories out there to create a book about Welshpool and surrounding villages,” he said. “I am interested in why stories are 'removed' or 'retracted', how notable people can reveal sightings or information yet it still denied.

“Too much is hidden from the people by the Official Secrets Act. It’s no good waiting for the time limits to expire on information which will reveal what we want or need to know. We need to know what is happening in our world today, not what happened 50 years ago.”
