Canal cordoned off after ‘serious incident’

 

And a passer-by we spoke to this morning has said that police on the scene informed him that a serious incident had taken place. A resident reported that police were "all over the area" at 3am.

 

All entrances to the canal in that area have been cordoned off by police who have positioned an officer in a car to watch over the scene. One of the three benches in the location has also been wrapped in police tape.
