Last chance for Midnight Walk registration

05/09/2011 @ 02:16

Forms to register for one of Welshpool’s biggest social events of the year on October 15 must be returned this weekend in order to take part.

The annual Midnight Walk, organised by the lads at the Fire Station, has proved hugely popular over the last couple of years and following their fantastic ‘bra busting’ charity event recently, hopes are high for next week's event.

The Marie Curie Cancer Care local branch will benefit from the money raised having already received more than £1,500 from the collection of 650 bras last week.

The walk will set off from the Fire Station at midnight for a five-mile lap of the town through Powis Park and back to the Fire Station where refreshments will be served.

To take part, the registration form (below on the pdf link) should be returned with a £10 donation to any of the following venues by tomorrow (Friday): Welshpool Tourist Information Centre: Derwas Ltd, Henfaes Lane; Welshpool Fire Station or The Flash Leisure Centre or by post to Kaye Derwas, Derwas Ltd, Henfaes Lane, Welshpool SY21 7BE.

Cheques should be made payable to Welshpool Fire Fighters Charity.

Under 16's can walk for free but must be accompanied by an adult. All walkers must wear suitable footwear and bring refreshments on the night. Any questions call: Kaye Derwas on 07834 539260 or kaye@derwas.co.uk

Walkers take part entirely at their own risk. The organisers will not be held liable for any injury or loss of personal items as a result of taking part.
