Maesydre summer vandal spree continues

Plans to erect a £4,200 CCTV system to oversee parts of Maesydre can’t come into place fast enough following the latest vandalism spree.

 

After a summer of problems which will cost Welshpool tax payers and sports clubs thousands of pounds to repair, the rugby club was the latest to be targeted on Saturday night with a window smashed.

 

Police have stepped up their patrols of the area and have requested the help from the community to call 101 should they suspect any anti-social behaviour.

 

Earlier in the summer, vandals were caught wreaking havoc with one kid as young as nine suspected of trying to ‘hotwire’ one of tractors in the shed.
