Be a landowner for £200!

Ever dreamed of owning your own piece of England or Wales for as little as £200? Next month, Severn Trent Water will be auctioning off redundant sites at prices could be deemed as a ‘giveaway’.

The former district service reservoir sites at Abermule, near Montgomery; Byrnderwen, near Llanfyllin as well as other sites across Powys and Shropshire have a guide price of just £200.

The sites will go under the hammer at a collective property auction at Halls’ Welsh Bridge headquarters in Shrewsbury on October 14 at 3pm.

Halls’ chairman Peter Willcock said: “This auction provides a very rare opportunity for people to buy their own piece of Wales or England for a very modest investment. How often do you get a chance to buy a piece of land for as little as £200?

“The lots on offer are part of Severn Trent Water’s disposal of redundant small sites and we anticipate a lot of interest from prospective buyers because they all have great potential for alternative uses, subject to planning consent.”
