Man killed in Sunday night road smash

A 28 year-old man has been killed and another man is in hospital following a road crash that occurred just outside Meifod on Sunday night.Police are appealing for information and have asked anyone that may have witnessed the accident to come forward. It happened sometime between 9-9.30pm on the A495. Only one vehicle was involved and the second man’s injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A police spokesperson confirmed this morning: “As a result of the collision a 28 year old male sadly lost his life. The Coroner has been advised and his family has been informed.”
