Low flying warning for Welshpool area

The Ministry Of Defence today warned the people of the Welshpool area that a large scale air exercise is about to take place in the skies above their heads.

The MoD announced that the exercise will take place during the period Seprtember 12 to October 1 with low level flying set to take place throughout the day and night.

"A variety of aircraft types will be involved in the exercise," a spokesman told www.mywelshpool.co.uk .

"There will be occasions when participating aircraft will be required to operate at low level, and this may include low level orbits, but any time spent conducting low level flying will be the minimum necessary to achieve the training objectives with every effort being made to minimise
disturbance."

The MoD has informed those using the air space above the Welshpool district of the opeartion and the need to keep the area clear during the training hours.
