Panty pilferer prosecuted

 

Farmer Geoffrey Robert Wilde of Llanfechain said through his solicitor at Welshpool Magistrates Court that he was remorseful and ashamed after being caught by police in a Welshpool passageway at midnight on November 15 with three pairs of women’s knickers in his pocket and a torch.

 

This led to a search of his home where the large stash of underwear was discovered.

 

The 48-year-old was given a three-year community order consisting of a 36-month supervision requirement, attendance on a community sex offenders programme and a six-month curfew between 6pm and 6am. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85.
