Arrests made in ‘Operation Yak’

 

The men, aged 34 and 36, have not been named but police say they are not local to the area and are being questioned in connection with 21 burglaries. 

 

Detective Inspector Diane Davies confirmed the pair had been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation codenamed Operation Yak.

 

“Sophisticated technology used to support local officers in keeping our communities safe identified a vehicle of interest to our enquiry.” She said: “Two men using the vehicle have been arrested and are being questioned. We are maintaining close contact with other police forces in our region and further afield.”
