Fireworks display was smoking!

The success of last month’s big free Fireworks display looks to have secured its long-term future for the town.
The event, provided for free by the town council, attracted over 2,000 people and donations from those attending on the night were almost £500 up on last year at £1,345.
The event cost the council £3,500 to put on and a similar budget has been set aside for a Fireworks display on November 3, 2012.
