Welshpool was thrown into darkness tonight as the Grand Slam celebrations were blacked out by a power cut.
Almost half of the town is without power, but ScottishPower, which is responsible for cabling power into the town, has told customers that it should be returned by 11pm.
The cut appears to have hit residential areas with Broad Street, where hundreds of people are attempting to drink the town dry after the Wales clean sweep, appears to be unaffected.
A ScottishPower source told us: “Engineers have been dispatched and are working to return power as soon as possible.”
