Cow trailer overturns and blocks road

A 4x4 pulling a trailer full of cows overturned close to Llanfair this morning, blocking one of the main Mid Wales arteries and causing traffic delays.
The accident happened shortly before 8.30am a mile from Llanfair on the Llangadfan road with the driver and cows safely released from the wreckage before the local fire crew arrived.
A rescue pump winch was used to move the vehicle and render it safe before the road could be completely re-opened.
