
Saturday night’s charity concert in Montgomery has been hailed as an overwhelming success after organisers confirmed it was sold out.
The summer's final gig featured top bands Colour Sunday, The Tellers and Chris Cookson and concert goers packed Montgomery Town Hall to capacity, raising money for the Lingen Davies Cancer Centre Appeal.
Event organiser Ben Picken, of Teller Promotions, said: “The event went better than we had hoped for and although we are still awaiting the exact total, we are confident that we have managed to raise some really good cash for a very worthy charity, I just hope that everyone that attended enjoyed the event as much as the bands did!”
The Monty Big Bash was the second festival organised for the charity, following the concert held on August Bank Holiday Sunday at the Raven Inn, Welshpool which attracted more than 400 people. A donation page will run for a couple of more weeks at
