Exceptional clearance rates across the board at a very successful Lleyn Sheep Society sale at Welshpool Market.

100% clearance was seen in the shearling ewe section with WJ & DJ WilliamsNefyn topping the prices. Messrs Williams 2^nd prize pen sold for £255/head to ELL Williams, Gwynedd. The third prize pen from DN Bennett & Son, Powys sold for £238/head to N Legge, Leominster. Christine Lewis, Powys sold her first prize pen for £225/head to WP Davies, LLanelwy.

In the ewe lamb section once again WJ & DJ Williams were at the top when selling the champion pen for £170/head to A Pritchard, Deeside. DN Bennett & Son sold the third prize pen for £160/head to W Bebb Farms Ltd, Powys while DA Jones, Powys sold the second prize pen for £150/head to EM Evans, Oswestry.

The ram section was won by H & M Dugdale, Settle who also realised the top price of 1400gns when selling their homebred shearling by a Lynda Jenkinson ram, to G & A Fort, Keighley. DN Bennett & Son were next with their second prize Goldie son selling for 980gns to M White, Coldfield. Robert Bennett, Powys was next to top with his third prize shearling selling for 780gns to G Williams, Meifod.
