Wanted: Artist to help council project

The town council has put out an appeal for an artist to help them bring to life an area of land opposite the Spar.

There is already a £9,000 plan to create a sculpture (RIGHT), designed by student Harriot Bates who won an open competition, close to the Tourist Information Centre but the council needs an expert hand to help develop a second project close by.

The successful candidate would work closely with the Youth Council and High School. Interested parties should contact the Offices of the Town Clerk to gain an information pack and project brief and the deadline closes on March 18.
