Theft warning to cyclists

As the warm weather continues to bring out cyclists in huge numbers, police are warning owners to be on their guard after a bike was pinched from Lake Vyrnwy.

An investigation is underway after a man’s black Giant mountain bike was stolen from the railings next to the public toilets at the end of the dam between 6-9pm on Monday. The bike was secured using a chain and padlock but was still removed.

If anyone saw the bike being taken or has located a chain and lock in the area, contact Welshpool Police on 101.
