A major investigation into alleged counterfeit products has been launched after a breakfast raid on a Welshpool Town Centre flat last week.
Eye witnesses emailed mywelshpool after police were seen loading black bin liners from the property into their vehicles before 9am last Wednesday morning, and Trading Standards have today confirmed that an investigation is ongoing.
A spokesperson for Powys County Council said: “We can confirm that an operation on alleged counterfeit products has been undertaken in Welshpool and a number of items have been seized which will form part of our investigations. We cannot provide any further details while this investigation is ongoing.”
The raid took place on a Salop Road flat, opposite the hospital entrance, creating considerable public interest as residents watched on their way to work.
