Town's concert by award winning singer

Welshpool’s discerning music public will be in for a treat tomorrow night (Thursday) when one of Wales’s leading sopranos performs a one-night only concert.

Organised by Welshpool Music Club, Kate Griffiths will be joined by bass-baritone Trebor Lloyd Evans and Eirian Owen on the piano for a performance at the town’s Methodist Church.

Kate lives in Bryn Saith Marchog near Corwen, and, despite being a mother-of-three, enjoys a busy touring schedule, performing throughout Wales. She is a national winner, taking first prize in the Soprano solo at the National Eisteddfod in 2006 in Swansea and again this year in Bala.

Tickets for the concert are priced at £7 and £2 for students.
