Welshpool Town Council, together with the Welshpool branch of the Royal British Legion, is hosting the Annual Festival of Remembrance in the Assembly Room at Welshpool Town Hall on Friday, November 6.

The doors open at 7pm and the programme starts at 7.30pm with a parade of Standards, accompanied by music from the Porth-y-Waen Youth and Training Silver Band.

Also, there will be the popular “Community Singing” this year lead by local singer Rebecca Melia and comedy from Geraint Peate. The evening will conclude with the service of remembrance after which refreshments will be served.

“Refreshments are organised by the Welshpool branch of the Royal British Legion with thanks to Sainburys for their continued support by supplying the doughnuts Free of Charge,” said a spokesperson.

Advance sale tickets for the evening are priced at £5 and are now available from the Welshpool Tourist Information Centre (open seven days 10am-4pm), Jan’s Cards & Gifts in Cumberland Place (Monday to Saturday 9am–5pm), or the Town Clerk’s Office (Monday to Friday 9am–3pm).

Alternatively, tickets will be available on the night at the door, priced £6.
