Norman Lloyd has recruited Rachel Mountford to head up its rental department.

The firm has an ever expanding management portfolio of rented property which Rachel will oversee and her appointment is in readiness for the introduction to the Rent Smart Wales Scheme which will take effect from November of this year.

Rachel is from a family farm in Trewern.

She began her career with Norman Lloyd in 2003 and continued to work for the firm whilst studying at Walford College and Harper Adams University.

She graduated from Harper Adams in 2009 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management. For the past three years she has been working in the social housing sector in Shropshire and now the partners are delighted to welcome Rachel’s return to the firm.

“In this time Rachel has gained great experience and knowledge and we are confident that with the new legislation Rachel will be a valuable contact for private residential landlords in Mid Wales,” said a company spokesperson. “She will also be undertaking market appraisals of property for sale having over the years built up an excellent reputation.”

To be based in Newtown, Rachel is happy to discuss matters further and landlords are recommended to contact any of the firm’s offices to ensure that they are fully aware and will be fully compliant with the new legislation for private rented property.

The firm is undertaking the necessary training in March and will be fully licenced to manage property on behalf of registered landlords.
