Ever wanted your own hill to own? Two Welsh hills, a former chapel, a fisherman’s cottage, houses and land are up for sale at an auction in Welshpool later this month with a combined guide value of over £2million.

Among the lots going under the hammer at the spring collective property auction on 28 April at Welshpool Livestock Sales are Salem Chapel at Trefnanney near Welshpool, upland and hillside land at Abermule, near Newtown, a hillside with forestry near Llandinam and a former fisherman’s cottage at Aberdyfi.

They are among 18 lots going under the hammer at an auction organised by Morris, Marshall and Poole that also includes a number of homes and land for development near Welshpool, Newtown, Llanidloes, Montgomery, Aberdyfi, Oswestry and Machynlleth.

“There’s a saying often said that ‘there’s something for everyone.’ And that’s certainly the case at our auction. Where else could you find a range of small, medium and large homes, land, a former chapel, two hills all coming up for sale in one afternoon?” said Andrew Turner, a partner at Morris, Marshall and Pool.

“We’re anticipating a lot of interest in the diversity of the lots we have for auction. Whether it’s a home to move into, a refurbishment project, land for agriculture or development – there’s something for everyone.”

Other properties include a delightful black and white cottage near Montgomery, a a two-bedroomed fisherman’s cottage at Aberdyfi, a four-bedroomed cottage near Four Crosses, a former office and flats in Newtown and others.

Salem Chapel at Trefnanney, near Meifod, Welshpool was built in the early 20th century and has potential for residential conversion, subject to planning. Auctioneers anticipate a guide price of £30,000 for the property.

A lot including 67.99 acres of upland and hillside land near Abermule has a guide price of £300,000, while 43.33 acres of Cwmffwrdd Hill and forestry near Llandinam has a guide price of between £80,000 and £100,000.
