MMP selling more houses

One of Mid Wales’ longest established estate agents and property surveyors remains top of the league when it comes to selling homes in Mid Wales, latest figures confirm.

Between January and May this year, Morris, Marshall and Poole, was top of the rankings for house sales at its offices in Newtown, Llanidloes, Welshpool, Machynlleth and Tywyn, according to figures collated by RightMove.

Its Newtown office took 42.2 per cent of the share of house sales against 11 other estate agents; in Welshpool it took a 14.9 per cent share against 31 other estate agents; at Llanidloes it was 54.7 per cent of sales against eight others; at Machynlleth it was 58.3 per cent against 11 others, while in Tywyn it was 40 per cent against five other estate agents.

It was also top in several areas when it came to new instructions. Its Newtown office had 44.2 per cent, Llanidloes received 44.8 per cent, Machynlleth saw 57.7 per cent and Tywyn took 57.1 per cent against other estate agents.

“The latest figures for the for the first five months of 2017 demonstrate how we remain one of the best when it comes to selling homes in Mid Wales,” said Andrew Turner, a Partner at MMP.

“We believe this is down to having a good, local and knowledgeable team that deals directly and personally with clients, markets each property understanding the potential market for it, and has a good mix of marketing channels, from online through to local high street offices within the communities.

“Online only estate agents cannot provide that in-depth support and that’s why people keep coming to us when they want to sell or buy a home. They want to deal with and speak to someone who knows the local market and can be contacted throughout the whole process for help and advice.”

MMP continues to grow with the opening of a new office at Rhayader. It now has  offices throughout Powys, Ceredigion, Gwynedd and Shropshire.
