Shock As Black Sheep Fold

Defaid Du, who were set to start the new season in the second division of the new Spar Mid Wales League have folded.

Player Manager and club founder Rob Scott quit this week, ending a six year association with the Llandrinio club. The cloub hasn't been far away from the headlines since launch.

Scott said, "I was doing everything at the club and have been badly let down by some players who would not commit for next season.

"It got to the position where only eight players were turning up for friendlies, which is totally unacceptable."

He said he hoped the club, which joined the Montgomeryshire Amateur Leagu in 2004, would be revived in the future.
