Max gets Wales call-up

Young Max Williams has had a dream come true after earning a call-up to the Wales squad for players born in the year 2003.

The goalkeeper, (No 12) who is on Wrexham’s books and is the son of former Guilsfield, Rhayader and Welshpool Town player Gareth Williams, has been working hard on his game during the off season and it has paid off after impressing during trial matches played last week at Connah’s Quay.

He will join up with his national teammates for two days of squad training in Cardiff on August 20 and 21, ahead of the new season.
