Guilsfield’s highly rated midfield star Louis Irvine has left the cub to join Prestatyn in the JD Welsh Premier League.
Irvine has been an ever-present for Guilsfield this season but became new Prestatyn boss Gareth Wilson’s first signing since his appointment earlier this week.
He has been a huge contributing factor in Guilsfield’s rise to prominence this term and leaves them in third spot and six points behind Caernarfon Town.
Irvine is in contention to make his debut for the Seasiders in their crucial Phase Two opener at JD Welsh Premier League basement dwellers Carmarthen Town, who have strengthened significantly during the window in a bid to avoid the drop.
Former Welshpool Town striker Steve Rogers has also joined Prestatyn as assistant manager.
