Four golds for Katie

A Trewern 12-year-old can look forward to competing at a British Championship later in the year after dominating the qualifiers.

Katie Roberts, a pupil at Welshpool High School, won an incredible four gold medals at the Kros Brothers Medal Rush British qualifiers in Wrexham.

The youngster won the continuous sparring, points sparring, throws and grappling categories and will now head to the Kros Brothers Medal Rush British Championships later in the year.

Katie trains with the MD Warriors in Oswestry.

And if you think that was impressive, younger sister Cerys, aged seven, won a further three golds and a silver medal in the same disciplines for her age group.
