Three finals in a week

24/05/2018 @ 12:47

While Forden United can be rightly considered by many to be the football team of the year, Four Crosses may have something to say about it over the next week!

Forden won every single one of their 22 matches to win the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire Amateur League’s second division.

But while Four Crosses finished second in the top flight to Bishop’s Castle and were runners-up in the Emyr’s Morgan Cup, they are involved in no less than three finals over the next six days.

Their bid for a unique treble starts with the Montgomeryshire Cup final against Guilsfield Reserves at Llansantffraid on Friday night, followed by the League Cup final against Waterloo Rovers on Monday and the Montgomeryshire Cup final against Llansantffraid Village next Wednesday.

Squeezed between those finals is Welshpool Town’s bid to win some long overdue silverware when they face Bow Street on Saturday at Carno’s ground.
