Welshpool Town have confirmed that the management duo of Chris Roberts and Neil Pryce (both pictured) will be at the helm next season, ahead of their final game of the season tomorrow.

The Lilywhites will take on Bow Street in the final of the Spar League Cup, capping fine season that saw them finish second in the league, and the importance of continuity has been emphasised with the announcement last night.

Former manager Russell Cadwallader will head the Reserves management team which will also include current player/manager Josh Parry. They will be tasked with the job of ensuring the progression of the club’s younger players from its youth section into first team football, the club has said.

Steve Leeson will take over as manager of the Welshpool Youth team, supported by Dean Gill, after Leeson coached the successful Welshpool Villa Junior team, which won titles and trophies over the past few seasons.

“The new management structure clearly reflects the ethos of Welshpool Town Football Club in continuing to further develop the pool of talented players from its thriving youth section, and to give them a clear pathway and the opportunity to play in senior football,” said a club statement.
