Berriew win Welsh title

A team of Berriew bowlers won the Welsh Womens Bowling Association Rinks Championships at Carmarthen yesterday (Sunday).
The line-up of Nerys Lewis, Hazel Wilson, Isobel Jones and Caroline Taylor beat a foursome from Pontyfelin 15-14 in the final to clinch the Welsh title.
In the semi-final the Berriew girls defeated Llandrindod and now go on to represent Wales in the British Isles finals in Jersey next June.
