Andy "buzzing" to be picked

Forden athlete Andy Davies has been named in a strong Wales team for the first ever Commonwealth Half Marathon Championships.

The Newtown College lecturer will represent his country in the event, being held as part of this year’s Cardiff University Half Marathon on Sunday, October 7.

He will be alongside Dewi Griffiths, Josh Griffiths and Kris Jones in a strong Wales line-up hoping to build on his 11^th place in the Commonwealth Marathon in Australia.

“I’m delighted and buzzing to be part of the Commonwealth Half Marathon Championships in Cardiff and can’t wait to wear the red vest again,” Davies tweeted today.
