Will Thomas bagged five as Welshpool Town hit top form on Tuesday night in the MMP Mid Wales League.
The experienced striker led the way as The Lilywhites cruised through to an 8-2 win.
But it is Caersws who continue to blaze a trail, remaining unbeaten in 11 games after clinching a 3-0 win over nearest rival Radnor Valley.
