FIFA listing for Guilsfield ref

Guilsfield based referee Rob Jenkins has been promoted onto the list of FIFA referees. 

Rob follows in the footsteps of Montgomeryshire referee Huw Jones, who experienced a number of prominent UEFA appointments over a number of seasons.

Delighted with his appointment Rob took to Facebook to thank those who have helped him reach the top level.

“When I first started refereeing at the age of 17, my goal was to one day become a FIFA referee,” said Rob. “From January 1st 2019, I’m honoured and privileged to say that this goal will be realised and I will be representing Wales on the FIFA referee’s list.

“A special thank you to all of the coaches, mentors and in particular all of my referee colleagues and friends who have helped me along the way to achieve this dream. 

“The hard work starts now."
