Llanrhaeadr Reserves have surged to the top of the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire Amateur League second division after a dramatic day on Saturday.
A hard-earned 4-2 win at struggling Llanfyllin Reserves saw them leapfrog Trefonen at the top after they lost 5-2 at fellow promotion chasing Llansantffraid Reserves.
There were also wins for Four Crosses Reserves, Waterloo Reserves and Churchstoke Reserves.
Only two games were played in the top flight, with Llanfair United Reserves picking up three points, but Maesyrhandir and Meifod shared the spoils.
