Llanidloes Town have gone five points clear at the top of the MMP Mid Wales League after returning from Radnor Valley with three points.
The Daffs won 4-2 in tough conditions to extend their lead at the top after Caersws were held 2-2 in a Friday night thriller at Welshpool Town.
Berriew are now emerging as their biggest threat after overcoming a decent Llandrindod Wells side 3-1. Dave Jones’ side may be 10 points off the top but have three games in hand.
Llanfair United also remain in the hunt thanks to a last minute Josh Astley header at Bow Street.
Montgomery are still sitting pretty on top of Division Two thanks to a 3-0 win at Dyffryn Banw, and there were wins for Four Crosses and Abermule.
In Friday night’s big Huws Gray Alliance derby, a goal in each half from Chris Cathrall and Adam Jenkins gave Guilsfield the points at Llanrheadr who appear to have lost their winning touch.
Guilsfield Reserves made it a winning weekend for the village by reaching the quarter-final of the Emrys Morgan Cup with a 4-2 win over Llanilar. Bishop’s Castle advanced in the Tanners Town Cup after beating Llanfair Reserves 3-0.
