Caersws have booked their spot in the final of the MMP Mid Wales League Cup with a hard earned 2-1 win over Berriew at Montgomery.

After going a goal down, The Bluebirds fought back with goals from Craig Harris and Ryan Davies in the second half to look forward to a final.

But back in the league, Llanfair United turned up the heat to move within two points of leaders Llanidloes with a 2-0 win at Aberaeron.

In the second division, Hay St Mary’s and Four Crosses stepped up their fight for runners-up with both recording 8-0 wins.

Newtown had a day to forget in the JD Sports Welsh Premier, going down 6-0 to champions-elect The New Saints.
