There’s plenty of sport this weekend with the cross over from winter to summer seasons providing lots of football, rugby and cricket action.
But all eyes will be on Welshpool Rugby Club on Sunday as they take on the first of two finals to bring their successful North Wales season to a close.
The club have hit top form since the New Year, and they will be taking on Rhyl in the final of the North Wales Plate at Ruthin (1pm kick off), with a supporters’ coach leaving at 10am.
There’s a sprinkling of football action too, but a big local derby between Montgomery and Welshpool will headline the weekend’s Shropshire Cricket League action with the following games also being played (hopefully!):
Division One
Newtown v Shelton
Division Two
Montgomery v Welshpool
Division Five
Alberbury II v Newtown II
Condover v Montgomery II
Division Six
Acton Reynald II v Guilsfield
Division Seven
Llanidloes v Ludlow III
Division Eight
Welshpool II v Condover II
