James Bradford remains on top of the Newtown Premier Darts League, but only one point in front of Craig Davies, Chris Hurds and Paul Bordewey.

But it was the debutant, Adam Joseph, who stole the limelight on his first night, beating the leader, Bradford, 4-2, and then defeating Kacey Jones by the same score.

The highest checkout of the night went to ladies Welsh international, Katie Bellerby, with a brilliant 146 which enabled her to force a draw with Garry Jones.

There was a return to form for former Welsh international, Neil Astley, as he gained 4-2 victories over Martin Rees and Steve Price respectively.

Hurds defeated Bellerby 4-0 and Paul Bordewey beat Will Wheatley, 4-1, while Craig Davies recorded a 4-1 win over Dave Boyle and forced a draw with Johnnie Francis.

Mitch Butler hit the highest average of the night, 28.33, in his victory over Sean Barnett.
